Default Jim Ahlman speedo re-calibrator

I just ordered a Jim Ahlman speedo re-calibrator for my CBR1000rr. I used one on my 2003 VFR800 and it worked great. Anyone using one on their CBR and if so, what percentage did you adjust for? I'm going to be using a 15t countersprocket, which I know will throw it off even more. His website has an Excell spreadsheet you enter the gear ratios into and the diamter of your rear wheel, I guess this gives you what speeds you should have at any given rpm/gear and you adjust from there accordingly. I was just wondering if anyone already knew, is the speedo off 10% from factory or how much?

Using the speedohealer, I've corrected 6.4% on my 05 1000rr. Stock gearing. Used a GPS to find the correction.

Using a speedohealer -1 on the front , also used a GPS to find the correction.

Mine was the oddball -- dead nuts precise with stock gearing. Reads 10.5% happy with -1F +1R. I need to get a calibrator -- how much was the Gregg Allman?

I`ve had mine checked, stock gearing and at 100mph its 2mph out, so not as bad as is possible all this working out percentages sounds a pain in the ***.

The ramblin' man is $85 plus $5 for s&h. I used one on my VFR and it worked great. I guess I'll have to borrow a GPS and check mine. I know with my VFR after dropping a tooth on the countersprocket, she was almost exactly 10% high before adjusting the speedo.

With the -1 gearing, what percentage did you have to adjust for?

I'm thinking I'll end up going with the speedohealer. For about $5 more it has the dreaded "top speed recall" function.

Haha, it rocks! I got the Speedohealer V3 with the remote switch. I'm pretty happy with it. I had a V2 on the 929 which had the recall but no battery memory and the switch was located on the unit.

My Aprilia's factory gauge cluster had a top speed recall. I think I used it once. Cool if you're into the whole "bragging rights" thing I guess.
