Default Jacket sizing

Hey everyone, here i go with a noob question....haha thats the first time ive ever said noob. Anyways, u just bought my 1st jacket...i got the joe rocket ufo jacket..and im wondering what the correct fit is. the jacket fits me good with a t shirt and even a sweatshirt, the only thi8ng is in the front the length is right at the top of my belt line, the back is fine though. Should i go one size bigger? or do u think its just me not being used to a tight fit jacket? thanx!

You want the jacket snug around you so when you do wreck it doesnt move around. Sure would suck to have an armor piece move away from the body part its suppose to protect.

If the jacket fits you good with a sweat shirt, (depending on thickness the shirt)I definately wouldnt go bigger. Its already borderline too big. As rangerscott said, you dont want the jacket to move around on you.

If you take a measurement of your chest and look up the chest measurement of the jacket, they are usually pretty close to what you need plus or minus a size depending on your body type.

Keep in mind the jackets are designed for rider position, not standing position. That would be the reason the front is shorter than the rear. When you bent over in the rider position, the front of the jacket comes down and the rear of the jacket goes up. It prevents the jacket from bunching up in front while your riding.
