I'm about to Rejet CBR F4, quick question
Hi yawl.
It seems that each time i read the instructions on how to rejet my bike it gets easier and easier. I'l probably attempt to do it if i can figure this out.
My jet kit wants me to ajust the "fuel mixture" screw. I've been reading the service manual and i can't find a "fuel mixture" screw. Close as i come to it is the "pilot screw". Does anybody know if the "pilot screw" is the "fuel mixture" screw the jet kit is calling for?
Dynojet Jet Kit -- Step 5
Service Manual
Thanx

RE: I'm about to Rejet CBR F4, quick question
Thank you. All instructions i've read tell me to remove the carbs fromthe bike. Does anybody know if you have to seperate them from each other to get to all the screws? Is screw 2 & 3 more difficult, do i need to seperate carbs to adjust them?
Thanx again.
Thanx again.

Are sure you need to jet? What colour are your plugs? I'm no expert but I just bought a bike that had a jet kit installed and it was a pain to get running right, so much so that I returned to the stock jetting. At wot with the kit it sputtered like crazy, I dropped in the stock mains and needle and it ran really good. So right there you have to question the recommended main jet size. I have 2 friends that run a pipe and K&N and they claim their bike runs best with stock jetting. If you like to tinker go ahead but if you like to ride I'd suggest sticking to stock jetting. Keep an eye on your plugs and if you have the money go get your bike dynoed and have your air/fuel monitored during the run. That'll tell the tale.
