Ignition switch
My bikes ignition switch has developed a dangerous fault.
I found this out yesterday whilst going around a roundabout of all places. My bike died for a full second, doesn't sound long but it wasn't pleasant at all I can tell you.
To cut a long story short, if I so much as touch my key whilst the bikes running, it 50% of the time dies totally. I can touch the key again and my ignition lights up again.
This I can replicate on the move. Any bumps in the road or "g" type (acceleratiing or braking hard) stress trigger it as well.
I swapped out my worn barrel 24 months ago so it's not old. I examined my old barrel tonight and there are three security type small screws for me to contend with before I can get to the internals to see if this component is repairable.
I understand it might be easier to buy another one but if anyone can tell me about a fix for my issue I'll give it a go.
Cheers
