Default i guess this would be the rigth section

something that i have come to wonder is, are taking uphill/down hill turns any different than a flat turn? where im working now i go up n down hills every day, and since im getting a bike within the next week 1/2 after i move, i thought now would be a good time to ask ha.
some of these turns make me feel nervous in my truck doing 45 on the down hill. ha
should ya back off the throttle a little bit on a down hill turn and let your momentum carry you thru the turn?
and on an up hill.. ease into the throttle some more to keep your momentum going?

thanks! looking forward to hear yals input

No problem on a bike than anything else really, check your speed going down hill, use both brakes & lower your gearing. try to avoid sudden braking, as it transfers more weight to the front and compresses the suspension.
Uphill is a little easier, same proceedure. I think that your concerned about stopping (on a hill) and then turning, right!. Everyone gets a little fizzy about that. when you come to a complete stop, hold on the front brake, put your left foot down, use your right foot on the rear brake, then you can let go of the front brake, leaves both hands free to complete the turn using the throttle & clutch, down hill is easy cos you once you let go of the brakes, you roll foreward, uphill you use the throttle to get going, simple. To quote Hawkwind "Do not panic" Practice, practice. It's a manouver you will be doing soon without thinking about it. Just make sure you get into the habit of scanning the road your turning from & into for crap on the road (gravel & so on) good luck.

starting on a hill is no problem for me on a bike(the welding truck i drive every now n then.. thats a different story haha) but im mainly wondering about taking the turns without slowing down and getting hit by a car, or gathering to much speed and get into a sketchy situation.

Oh ok, just a matter of indicating early, being in the right gear, if your not comfortable turning across traffic (judging the distance) just throttle down & wait till you think its safe, until your comfortable with wot your doing, don't make the mistake of giving it the berries at the last second. Last thing you want is to lose control at that crtical point.
Everything about learning to ride bikes, you do it it in your own comfort zone, just take easy, & do it in stages.
Just be prepared to stop if you have to, rather than try to gun it. Just find somewhere you can practice the manouver. Or better yet do a riding course, worth every cent.

Its an old (my old man used it) Australian term. "Give it the plenty of juice" Juice comes from berries
another is "to many herbs" to much "gas". let you figure that one out.
