Default I CANNOT F*&%^NG BELIEVE WHAT JUST HAPPENED!!

2002 CBR F4i -
Doing a valve job.....
Going to remove the cam holder...
(yes i was loosening)The number 1 cam bolt SHEARED. Yes, sheared off.
From what I can see wiht a light and mirror it is about at the top of the threads
IE the cam holder is NOT going to come off......

My first solution thought,
Use a reverse bolt puller drill tap thingy to get the bolt out.

The thing about this is that I cannot get straight on due to the frame. I really DO NOT want to remove the engine again.

I NEED IDEAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if the head of the bolt sheared off, then the camcover will come off. the bolt threads into the head, not the top cover

pull the cover, apply heat to the bolt, vice grips, should come right out

+1, exceptI would apply heat to the head right where the bolt goes into the head. this will allow the head to expand and release pressure on the bolt. Being it is aluminum, it should expand rather quickly.

If theres still not enough bolt to grab onto. You might want to invest in a right anlge drill. They sell the drills whole, or they sell adapters to mount to a normal drill.

Or, if you have an air compressor. a right angle die grinder works too. Your kind of limited on the drill size, but they are fairly compact.

I dont know if they will be small enough to get in there though.
