Default how to use DynoJet Powercommander?

this is a simple question that i should be able to find somewhere but i searched and im not going to find my specific answere.

when i bought my first bike ( 02 F4i ) i didint know much more than what to look for mechanicaly. in the tail of the bike there was the dyno jet power commander which he said was to change fuel settings for different exhaust and other mods ect. i been riding the bike alot since i got it and everything has been running great and smooth but i just took 4inches off my micron exhaust and read that with different backpressure they need to be tuned different?

so now that i already have this little device. how do i use it? can i program it myself or do i take it to a dyno for a professional to tune?

If it has a USB port I think you can download the software from Dynojet and plug in to the module. If it's an older one you need the cord to connect. No you don't need a dyno, you can mess with it yourself, but if it's running OK why take chances?

ok thanks, and now that you say if its running ok. i guess i didint think about it untill you said that. since i cut the 4inches when i am sitting at idle and i snap the throttle a few quick times it kinda bogs and doesnt wana rev as quick as im twisting it. it revs fine and power feels really good actually, but at a quick flick of the throttle it doesnt wana respond. im guessing that could be something to do with the length of the pipe?
