Default how too test regulator/rectifier

how would i test the regulator/rectifier on a 98 cbr 600

Lay the r/r on a table with the flat mounting surface facing the table. You will see 3 prongs across the top and 1 prongon the left and 1 prongon the right on the bottom. Use your dvm on the ohm's setting and go to function and go to diode check. Place the negative on the bottom left prong and then place the positive on each of the top three. Record your results. Now put the positive on the bottom left prong and then the negative on each of the top 3 prongs. Record your results. I'm not 100% but I think you should get around .450 ohms of resistance one way and nothing the other way. Each of the diode terminals should have the same resistance. If one has two little it may be going bad. Hope this helps. I had a problem with mine and this is how I diagnosed mine.
