hey everyone i just got a APE cam chain tensioner and i am woundering how much tourqe i should put on the actual bolt that goes up against the slider plastic thingy...lol..

tighten it until it JUST touches that plastic guide. if you take the side cover off so you can see the bolt make contact, and tell how tight the chain is at the same time, you'll be ok. you dont want the chain TOO tight as that will make a nasty whine, and also premature wear on the chain and possibly other motor parts too.

 

so basically just hand tighten it with my fingers and then just lock it in place with the nut?
