How much space between shift lever and chain on f4/f4i?
So I'm hoping someone could do me a huge favor. I'm wondering how much space there should be between the shift lever (the linkage rod boot where it connects to the lever) and the chain. If someone could take a quick measurement and/or pic for me, I'd be really greatful.
I noticed mine is real close to the chain, and then took a good look at the rearset bracket (without taking it off), which appears to be bent in a little (which would make sense, as the previous owner had a tip-over on that side which slightly bent the clutch lever). So I'm just trying to get a frame of reference for how much space there should be, in case I need to be looking for other potential issues (or maybe its kind of close normally, and therefore, its just the bent bracket).
Hopefully I made that clear/easy to understand; The shift lever bolts to the inside of the rearset bracket, and the linkage rod bolts to the inside of the lever - so the gap between the linkage rod boot right there, and the chain.
I greatly appreciate anyone who could check that out for me. Thanks guys.
