Default how important are vibration damper plugs inside bars?

ive been tryin to bolt in these custom barends i made but the threading inside the bars is loose and just spins. i finally got one side OT and its a slab of heavy rod and the threaded section near the end is cracked off,
it seems crazy to add this much weight to a bike so there must be a good reason right?
im waiting to hear why i need these before i go buy more.
do other kinds of bikes have these?
like motocross bars,
do they have these kinds of weight plugs too.
thanks all

they are there for good reason bro... they absorb alot of fatiguing forces, i pulled em off of my F2 along time ago and found out they make a difference , especially on longer rides, and no , motorcross bikes dont have em...peeece

Every bike is a little different in the amount of vibration felt in the handlebars.

On my f4, i put vortex clipon's on the bike and felt a little more vibration, but not enough to make me put the stock ones back on.

I don't think my F1's stock clipons still have the weights, but I know my aftermarket replacements are just light, hollow aluminum. I can't put normal aftermarket bar end weights in either because I have bar end signals. I think if the vibration is too annoying next spring I'll just find a slug of metal the right size to slide into the bar and secure it with a little countersunk machine screw.

thanks all-
i found the hole in by bar underneath the grip (left side) that i could put a countersunk screw through into a metal plug i guess-
ive got to bolt my barends into something so maybe ill resecure the origional slugs into my bars with that screw through the side idea... i think i might trim-em in half or something. i dunno theyre HEAVY but i guess thats the idea..
bar end signals huh? thats cool. i didnt think of that .
ive only got rear signals now and have been weighing my options..
my other idea for an inner weight plug is a split wedge cylinder thatll clamp out against the inner dia. when i bolt the screwtight to hold the barend on.
im open to all suggestions...
