How do I put Sea Foam in my carbs?
I've read that the best way to clean your carbs is to run Sea Foam straight into the carbs. So how do I do this? Should I run it into the fuel line (I have the gas tank off)? Any help anyone could give me would be appreciated.
Im not so sure that is the "best" way. I have never really worked with sea foam, dont get me wrong I hear its good, but any grime from your carbs will be running right into your cylinders and through your whole system. The "best" way is probably to remove them and clean them, not the easiest waybut it keeps the gunk off your internals.
Bushmaster, you're right on the money. seafoam is the easier way, but a full carb teardown and hand cleaning is the RIGHT way to fix any issue in there, and catch other issues before they become issues.
I wanted to put some in there while the bike was running to clean them the EASY way. I appreciate your concern about the easy and the correct way to do it, but I want to know how to put this stuff directlyin my carbs while the engine is running.
My bike is 14 years old and is pretty beat to hell. Not like I'm trying to ruin it or anything, but I'm willing to try a $6 fix over several hours of disassembly.

pour it into the carbs while the bike is running untill it chokes the bike down then pour the rest in the carbs and wait awhile and crank it up and it will smoke white smoke like crazy then then it should clear up
