Default How can I turn back the mileage on a gauge?

Alright, so when I bought my motorcycle it didn't come with gauges installed. I was told the bike had 15,xxx miles on it. The bike came with some gauges that came from a scrapyard though, and the odometer says 30,xxx on it.

Is there an easy way to bring that number down to say 16,000?

Thanks.

Are they analog (rolling) numbers, or digital?

well you could always take the cover off the gauges and physically roll the numbers back then.

Paint the first wheel with all "1" and you'll always have a low mileage bike
Maine solution I'd say

I think it's slightly more complicated then just rolling them back...I will take it apart and see though.

Any F2 with 30K on it, whether real or not, really isn't that big a difference from the 15K your seller told you it has, which you don't really know if you can trust it or not - it doesn't affect the resale of the bike enough to make a difference. Even if the bike was documented to have 2,000 miles on it and were in showroom condition, it's really not worth more than about $2500, and even then you'd have to find the right buyer.

Plus - for registration purposes, most states don't care what the odometer says once a vehicle reaches a certain age.
