Horrible low RPM Performance
Hello All,
I have been struggling for a few weeks to get my 01 cbr 600f4i going. I have had a few other threads that have been very broad and am getting a little bit of help. I wanted to make this thread a little more discrete.
When I start my bike I have to have the throttle wide open, and it runs like crap, I have to keep throttle open to keep bike going. If I bump start the bike and and get the rpms above 3000 or so, the bike runs pretty well, throttle response is pretty bad sometimes. But before I worry about high rpm, I would like to get the darn things idling on it's own!
Is it possible that there are several settings with the coils depending on what rpm you are at? I have heard coils sometimes have several coils inside, one set for low rpm, another for high rpm.
I have found if I take the plug out of coil #3, the bike runs the same as when all 4 coils are in. Of course I haven't tried this at high rpms. I don't think I should. This bike runs like crap.
Can anyone shed some light? I have done the usual. Plugs, filters (oil, gas, air), fluids, cleaning, FPR, fuel pump primes, and I can hear it whirring while engine is running. Waiting for a map sensor as that is the only code I get.
Best,
Antonio
