High Mileage F4i Question!!
Hey guys I am brand new to the site! I am looking at buying the 2001 model F4i it is a beautiful bike with no problems.... except it has 24,000 miles on it. The guy is asking $2,500 for it but I would offer him $2,300. I am wondering if getting the bike this cheap beats the maintenance costs of a high mileage bike.
It is between this or a 2006 Yamaha Fz6 with 2000 miles on it for $3,800 but i would get it for $3,600. What do you guys think would be the better buy... be honest, Thanks a lot and safe riding!

I hate to break it to you, but 25k miles is not high. My wifes F3 has 57k miles, my F3 just rolled over 50k, I just sold a 1994 CBR 1000F with 42k on it. These are not high mileage numbers. Talk to Jared and look at this thread. I think he's the only one qualified to talk about high mileage.

If you don't want the F4i, send me the seller's info and I'll take it.
24,000 miles is nothing if the bike has received routine maintenance. It should have had a valve clearance check by now, and the chain and sprockets might be due for a replacement, but seriously, 24k on a 12 year old bike works out to barely ridden.

I'm with the other posters here...
I bought a 2002 600 F4i with 19000 on it for about $3700...so if you can get a 2001 with 25000 then pay the man his asking price of $2500...that's a good deal. Just consider that you might have to get new tires/brake pads/oil change/etc...which could add to the cost.
