Default HID malfunction, maybe

So I got to work and my headlight looks weird. I got off the bike and looked, I just have high beam on and not the regular headlight. Then few min later, I go out and turn the key on, and now it is working. I did not hit any big bumps or anything this morning. It was just normal commuting route. I need to figure this out, because I don't want the light to go off at night. Any thoughts?

HID was installed this year so I think the bulb is still good?

I would guess that it never turned on and you didn't realize it. HID kits are notorious for not always turning on. This becomes more common as the ballast begins to become weaker. If it happens more frequently, you may want to just replace the ballast. This is a very common problem with the cheap kits that are available.

I think I have some lose wires somewhere. On the way home, it turned off for a sec when I shifted. Other than that, it was on

My HID's do this sometimes, In my truck I turn on the lights and 1 turns on but as soon as I turn them off then back on they work.
As mentioned probably just a glitch in your ballast or ignitor.

Do you have a cheap kit or something from e.g. Pilot? In any case you should have a year warranty so... My HID kit on th F4 ate two bulbs so I'm not using it now. The single bulb (for the cheaper kits) is nearly as expensive as the whole kit (Bixenon H4).

Like I told you before, check your connections and if the beam starts to flicker, it might go out soon.

Mine is from DDM Tuning. When I have my gear indicator replaced, I will have my mechanic check the connection.

As mentioned probably just a glitch in your ballast or ignitor.
If this is the case, do I need new one?

I talked to DDM Tuning this morning, and they will be sending me a new bulbs. They have lifetime guarantee.

Touching the wires coming out from the headlight cover will turn the light on. So they said it is the bulb. They use high temp connector so the connector will not be melting from the heat.
