help tensioning my chain
alright...this will make me seem like a complete squid and n00b...but:
does anyone else feel uncomfortable tensioning their own chain?
i know that mine needs to b tightened, but i dont feel ok with loosening my rear axle and tightening it up and worrying about whether its aligned properly...and then theres the worry about not tightening something enough(i dont have a torque wrench at home)...im just afraid imma really screw something up and like kill myself or ruin the bike
yes, this is my 1st bike...so i am kind of a n00b
so, wat should i do? should i just take it to the dealer and ask them to do it, or will they laugh me out of the place and then charge me $200 to do it? or am i just completely over thinking it...anyone have any advice?
(o, and its an '06 CBR600f4i)

If you dont feel comfortable then don't do it. But its really not that hard.
If you dont have access to a torquewrench just use a paint marker to mark the threads that are exposed through the nut (or you can count them). When putting the nut back on make sure the same amount of threads are exposed. Then use your tensioners to straighten it.

Just stop by your dealer and being its an 06' they might hook ya up and do it for free. Its easy man. 4 min job.
