Help!! Need your advice
Well, got off the bike today, and during my postflight, i found a nail in my tire. Not sure how long it's been in there, but it's been worn flat even with the tire.
Here's my dilemma. I really don't have the money for a new tire. Wedding's coming up, and money's tight. (otherwise i'd had my exhaust already! )
So, a new tires out of the question. Should i just leave it like it is if it's not losing air? Or plug it?
Just wantin your opinions. Here's some pics.

We are such a litgious society these days. It's hard to find a sizable shop that will repair a tire at all. If you can find someone to install an umbrella plug (the tire must be removed from the rim) It is an extremely good repair. I've done track days on them[8D]You might call around to independent shops in your area.
Or. we can sell you a 180/55/27 & 120/70/17 BT002 for $240.00. These things are better than the Pilot Powers IMHO and I have gone through 4 sets of Pilot Powers.
Or, you can buy those tarred up strings you poke into your tire at any auto parts place for a few bucks. They are highly suspect. Either way, get it repaired
Hope this helps.

Look's like you got lucky in a way. That's a pretty small diameter nail. Plug it & keep an eye on it till you can afforda better solution. I get them in my Bobcat tires all the time. These tar baby string type plugs last the remaining life of the tire in most cases. This is on tires running 60 psi. & you know how a skid steer steers right? Then againwhat can happen when the top speed is 10 mph.
I rode with a groupthis Sunday. One kook had a plug in his rear tire. I say kook because he was right in there with the rest of em. 130 - 140 in the straights. And hitting the corners like the barbed wire fences were made out of rubber bands.

I recently got a BRAND new tire and 3 days later a screw jamed itself in there. I ride on a plug and I speed around town. Just make sure you keep an eye on it and carry a tire plug kit around in your seat. I checked my tires every morning by just pushing on it as hard as I can. The tire I had before I put on my new one had a plug in it and I rode around in it for a month.
