Default HELP:cracked motor casing

Brand new to this site so Im not sure if this is were i should post this or not but any info would be great

almost two weeks ago i laid my 04 600rr down going about 35-45 mph me and a friend tried to fill it up with oil the next day thinking it had only leaked out bc it wass on its side it held the oil untill we cranked it and dumped out almost three qts instantly i finally was able to get a trailer and get it to my house so i could pull the plastics and actually see where it comes from and the first thing i notice is a pretty good break in the aluminum casing about an inch and a half back from the engine bolt
some people have said jb weld/quicksteel some said motor needs pulled and then welded back the right way by someone experienced im hoping someone can tell me the quickest and most effective way to fix this i would think if i jb welded just the outside then the inside is still cracked and it probably would only hold for a few days if that. i cant attach any pics because my account is not completly active yet but i can via email ithink

any info would be greatly appreciated

Jb weld might work on a non stressed part of the case.

if you can get it clean and access to both sides, you could have it welded.

otherwise, search for another motor or bike.

Personally I wouldn't bother welding a case, just fir a good used one, long term it's much less hassle
