Default helmet break in/fitment

Picked up an AGV XR-2 and it's a tiny bit snug, but from what I've read the large cheek pads should break in nicely with some use. Anyone else have a similar happening that can back that up? I'd hate to hang on to this helmet instead of swapping it out for a size up.

How long have you had the helmet? It should fit a little on the tight side at first, the first helmet I got was an HJC and it was a little big and when you would ride above 85-90 mph the helmet would start to lift off my head. I got an Icon and it fits snug, but I haven't got a chance to ride with it yet.

I've only had it for about a week, but I now know it's too small for my head and I need to go a size up. I know from wearing other helmets that my ears shouldn't be severely crushed by the helmet and my face shouldn't be squished like it is when it's on. Yay for simple swap outs though.
