Default HEADLIGHT QUIT

I HAVE A 98 F-3. MY HEADLIGHT QUIT WORKING. CHANGED BULB AN D STILL NOT WORKING. FUSE OK. I BABY THIS BIKE AND ITS NEVER ABUSED. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP. I REALLY DON'T WANT TO RIDE MY HARLEY. THIS IS A GREAT WEB SITE. I,M A 52 YR. OLD SPORT BIKE NUT. I ALSO HAVE A 02 HD ROAD KING, 03 DUCATI MONSTER, 05 HONDA XR650L. MY SON RACES IN CCS AND AFM. HE TOTALED HIS F-3 RACER AND NOW IS ON A ZX-6 AND HATES IT. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR GREAT INPUT.

Check the starter switch on handle bar. I have had a contact come loose on my bike one time and that is what it was.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. WILL CHECK IT OUT. IS SWITCH REPAIRABLE OR DO I HAVE TO REPLACE?

The switch is repairable if you're good with a soldering iron. Since the headlights on Hondas turn off when the starter is pressed, what has prob. happened is that the headlight wire that is supposed to be soldered to the starter switch has become dislodged somehow.

HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE TOO ON MY F4I - EASY FIX.

just open it up, its not too tough to repair. Mine is pretty messy (i'm not good w/ a soldering iron), but it works.

ps - TURN OFF YOUR CAPS LOCK
