Headlight Adjustment?
Hello All,
Just installed my new HID kit in my 01' F4i. Looks great, but I'm not exactly sure how far ahead they should point. I'm thinking about just measuring like 30 feet and adjusting the lamps to hit the ground at the mark. Is there any set distance I should be measuring? What about the brights? Just angle them up a bit higher than the low?
Cheers!

Im not sure what the placement is. My suggestion would be to have the low beam as high as you can without blinding oncoming traffic. that may mean to have a friend get in a car and drive past each other at night. It will have to be lowered some, as HID's in a headlight that has a reflector designed for a tungston bulb will scatter the light everywhere. In most cases, it will blind oncoming traffic if its not lowered.
As for the high beam, just point that where ever you feel you are getting the most light. I like to keep mine high enough so that the light is almost straight ahead. I like to have just a little bit of the high beam on the road surface, the rest of it directly ahead. I've seen some people place it so the entire high beam is on the road surface, but to me, that doesnt offer you the best extension of light possible.
