Default Headlamp issue

ok now that my bike is running great, I have another issue. My headlamp doesn't seem to want to stay on. When I fire up my bike sometimes it comes on, sometimes it doesn't. I have found that if I jiggle the wires that go into the grip/electric start (No the side with High/Low beam) it woukd sometimes come on. Now that trick seems to not be working. Is there wiring or anything in the electric starter side/grip? If so how involved would it be to take it apart to check for loose connections? I don't want to open the starter side grip before I have an idea what to expect. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Its a loose connection, could be a broken wire, but I doubt it. If you separate the two pieces of the switch block it will show the wiring hooked up to the connectors, check to see if one of those has worked itself loose. Give the switch itself a squirt of contact cleaner while you have it apart.

Default RE: Headlamp issue

how involved is taking it apart? Should I expect a mess of intricate wiring/contacts/relayes/loose screw/sping to go "BOING" or is it a pretty simple task? I been looking for diagrams etc in my book but don't see anything really related to this. Then again my book has been around the garage and has probably seen better days lol. Anyhow any insight would be appreciated. Peace.
