Default Have a question

Why is there a **** like structure that protrudes off the drivers foot pegs??? And why is the right side **** shorter that the left side???
Its that thing that sticks off the bottom of the foot pegs at an angle.

I know stupid question...but its really bothering me. What are those things????

They are peg "feelers" designed to hit the tarmac before you do. Basically like a warning. I've also heard people in the cruiser world call them "whiskers".

lol, didn't know there was a "drivers side" and "passenger side" on motorcycles.

i think you're referring to the feelers - they're an early warning to let you know when you're starting to lean over far enough to scrape into the pegs.

Ha!
I was gonna edit my post to add info, but not now. I want my win to be official. lol..

OP, I know some riders remove them.... but if they aren't getting in your way on the track, I'd say you probably don't need to.

On both of my f4i's they were the same size. Maybe the previous owner of your bike replaced one of the pegs or maybe he turned a lot harder in one direction than the other, (jk).

Actually I was thinking exactly that: he scraped the pegs on the right side and not the left...

Which is strange cause most people tend to lean harder left than right. Prolly fear of scraping the exhaust before the peg
