Default Guess that Part!

That's right folks. It's time for everyone's favorite home game! Guess that Part! I've included a picture. The first person that guesses the part that should go on the end of this hose wins a free Kudo. That's right. The prize has immeasurable value. The bike is a 1999 CBR 600 F4 (not the california version), and it runs fine without our mystery part, but I wanted to know what it was for. The picture is taken from the right side of the bike (you can see the radiator cap on the right portion of the pic). Thanks for playing.

So nothing goes on the end of it? Should it be capped off? I'm more interested in the name of the part that goes on it, than what it is itself.

I just looked at the microfische and the F3 and F4's have vastly different ram air setups.

This hose is part of theDAI (Direct Air Induction) system and lets more fresh air in when you are travelling less than 20 mph. There should be a hose attached to the pipe that is circled in the picture that goes to the front of the bike and attaches to a T-fitting that connects two other hoses that are in the airstream somewhere. They may be attached to the air intake ducts, but I'm not positive. Either way you're missing a hose. It looks like the other end of that pipe/hose goes to your air vent control solenoid valve via the sub-air cleaner(that's the box that's in the picture just after the elbow).
