Default Green Fluid Removing Carb

When I was attempting to remove the carb heater tube from the water pump and all this green liquid starting pouring out. Is this normal or is there someway to stop this from happening? And where should I refill it and with what? Where is the other end of the Carb heater tube thats connected to the thermostat? And when I remove the band screws do I need to get an extra long screw driver or is there another way to get access to these screws? Any other tricks that I have yet to encounter you might want to for warn me about?

Should I just let it all run out and refill it after I removed the carbs and put it back together?

Pinch off the line w/ some line clamps or you can use vise grips w/ pieces of metal or wood in between the jaws so you don't tear the line. Or you can just drain it and refill it. Hope this helps.

I gotta agree with rrasco, drain what you can and replace it when you are done. make sure you get the bike good and warm and top up your overflow reservoir, that way when the thermostat opens, you know that your coolant system is full.
