fuel gauge doesn't work?
i downed my bike and had it towed. After taking it all apart, replacing the damage, and putting it back together the only issue I'm having right now is that my fuel guage doesn't work. It just flashes up and down across all the bars. The bike runs smoothly and what not (I did about 2 hours on it yesterday) but this is the only issues. Any ideas? I'm pretty sure I connected anything... could the crash have caused this, did I miss a plug, or does something need to be reset?
Thanks in advance,
-Chris

Sounds like you may have inadvertently unplugged the fuel gauge and forgot to reconnect it. It should be simple to find. Either use your service manual (a must have when buying any bike) or look at the tank and find a wire cluster coming from it and follow it to the plug. A flashing fuel gauge is usually Honda's way of saying that the connection is missing and does the same thing on Honda ATVs.
On the F4i, when the bars are all flashing. That means your pretty damn close to being out of gas. I dont know if thats what you meant by, they were all flashing. But thats what it means on the F4i atleast.
I took the tank out and checked the connection. The tank only has a 3 pin connector going to the pump. The connection on the instrument cluster is fine as all other lights/guages work. Did I miss anything?
