Default front sprocket

this sounds like a noob question, I looked all over the internet and I coudnt find any answer.

I just removed the front sprocket on my 98 f3 and there are two thick rubber dampers blued on it. The new sprocket does not have any rubber dampers. Does it matter? Can I still install the new sprocket even though there is no rubber dampers?

thanks in advance

Its ok to use. Im not even sure why the oem ones have them on. I have yet to see an aftermarket one that has the rubber on it.

SunStar does. They are also an OEM supplier.
