Default Front Brake Lever Sticks

I installed a new front brake lever and when I squeeze it, it seems to stick a bit so the taillight stays on and not release.
Any ideas?
Thanks

1. Take off the brake lever, hit the area where it pivots under the bracket with sandpaper to "reduce its size" Just to clarify sand the lever not the mouting bracket.

2. On the bottom side of the bolt that bolts is in is a nut (or there should be one). Its usually a lock nut and that bolt/nut should not be super tight. If you tightened it down it will cause it to stick. It has a lock nut so you can have it slightly loose and still not lose the bolt....
