Default Is the frame important?

I put some mesh on my F4i and on the right side of the bike it is actually melting into the frame I guess I would describe it as. I guess it's pushing on the aluminum and when it gets hot it's just sucking it in.

Is this going to be a problem? I don't know why this side is so tight and the left side doesn't even touch. /shrug

Will that not make it difficult to remove the fairing if it is essentialy welding itself on? Also the frame is stucturally the most important component on your bike. I'm sure your mesh is aluminum, but it wont be the same grade, and even when two like metals are improperly bonded it can lead to oxidixtion problems. I would find a grade that is heat tolerant.

The mesh isn't the problem. I don't think they are welding together I think that the aluminum frame is just getting soft and the mesh is staying hard and pushing itself into the frame.

Well, either way, it doesn't sound like a good situation. I would find a way to keep it from making direct contact with the frame. Clearly there is an adverse effect taking place. A slight bend perhaps.

are you sure it's melting into "the frame" and not just the coating??

It looks like it's going into the frame. I'll take off the right fairing and get some more pictures of it but it's really digging in there good. I would have never thought that could happen. Maybe when I take the fairing off I'll try to bend the mesh or something so it's more bubbled out there. /shrug
