Hey all,
I just bought this bike, and the guy before me took a CBR F4i tail and put it on to my CBR F4...so when he did that, he didn't realise that the bolt holes (or whatever you call them) didn't line up.

You'll notice that the bracket that hold the exhaust on, does not have both bolts through it. That second bolt would normally hold the foot pegs....correct!?
Anyways, anybody know how I could get around to gettin pegs on and make it legal to have a passenger???

Just go on ebay and search for F4i rear footpegs.

 

but will those fit around the high exhaust?

 

No it will not.

Unfortunately, if you want to ride passengers, you've got to ditch the high-mount Hindle. Which is far as I'm concerned, is blasphemy!

Well, the F41 tail is on a F4i subframe.
What if i was to get the F4i pegs with the F4i spacer kit?
Would that work?

 

Here's the problem:

you have an 05, 06 f4i with a high mount pipe and an 01-03 muffler hanger.
the f4 subframe fits the 05-06 model just fine. I had big probs with this myself when I did the subframe swap. I dont think you'll be able to use the high mount pipe and put foot pegs on.

So you'll have to replace the midpipe with a stock pipe and use your can as a slipon, or buy a new aftermarket standard mount system, these usually mount to the passenger peg assembly.

Then buy 05,06 footpegs.
