Default Fan not working

Two seasons ago I tried to replace the spark plugs and by following the directions in the manual I was supposed to remove the radiator. I unplugged it and started taking it off and eventually said "SCREW IT!" My fan has not worked ever since. I've tried unplugging and replugging it in and still no go. Makes it tough to ride because as the F4i runs quite hot already I can't do any city riding because my temp warning light comes on. Any suggestions?

Mike

P.S. I know someone is going to post it so I'll save you the time, yes, I know now go at the spark plugs from under the tank. lol I'm doing that before the season starts this year.

I would start off by checking all your connections to make sure they are good esp. the ground wire. Also it might seem obvious but make sure there is enough coolant in the radiator otherwise it won't reach the sensor to tell the fan to kick on. I know about that from experience.

Sweet I appreciate it. I should probably change the coolant anyway it's been in there since I bought the bike brand new in '06 and 30k miles.

Thank you again!

No, I have not done that. I should check that too. I'll have to see which fuse it is. I guess I just didn't think the fan had a fuse. /shrug

Thank you

Mike
