I use simple green and a scrub brush. Then I rinse them very well with water.

I dont even clean em, they never really get dirty

why clean the tread? couple laps and there won't be any left anyway.

Fact.

Tire dressings are for curb jockies and shouldn't be used on anything that is actually ridden.

You could probably use something on the sidewalls without touching the tread if you really wanted to, although I personally don't see the point.

As for the actual tread, unless you ride like a girl that should get 'cleaned' whenever you use it anyway.
