F4i headlight wire up help
let me know if you try out that diode wiring that justasuid suggested works im in the same predicament. Only with mine, low beam on is two light high beam on is no lights.
You should have three wires to your old headlight. One ground and two hots. One hot is the low beam, the other hot is the high beam. If both lights are on with the low beam on and nothing with the high beam, you must not have the high beam wired up to the high beam hot and youhave the hot for the low beam going to both the high and the low beam. this is not a good situation as the wiring probably wont stand the added juice flowing through it. they are fairly small wires designed to handle the 55 watts, not 110.
If you rewire it so the high beam hot is to the high beam headlight and the low beam is to the low beam, and you want the low beam to stay on while you activate your highbeam, you can use the diag I modified.
If you just want the low beam to be low and shut off when the high beam activates, just rewire it the proper way.

ok thx, mine must be wired just wrong way cause it works as you said. Low beam both lights light up and high beam no lights come on. Ill prolly try to get the diode and re-wire tomorow.
Have a post in the f4 section with a few questionsgonna repost in here.
