Default f4i flushmounts

I have lockhart phillips flush mounts which are 2 wire. THe stock blinkers are three wire. THey are supposed to be quick connect electrical connections but they do not fit so i had to cut off the connections and splice them. I spliced the 2 wires together on each side and left the ground alone taped up. When i turned the bike on the blinkers turned on, when i pressed to use them as a signal they went out. I just want to use these as a blinker and was wondering how to wire them. THanks

The 3rd wire is for the running light...

I'm not 100% sure, but I remember when I installed mine (LP moch IV's which have 3 wires) the instructions said you could leave the wire for the running light disconnected. Just cap it to prevent any possible shorts... try to unsplice the wires and connect the pos to pos and neg to neg and it should work...

The green on both left and right are ground. The solid colors on left and right are positive. The ones with the stripe are not used - they're for the running light. That's for the F4i, not sure of color of wires for other bikes.
