Default Hotbodies flushmounts vs. Proton flushmounts

Is there a big difference in quality, fitment, and lighting to justify the price difference between the two. I’ll get the Proton ones if it’s the clear winner, but I though I’d check with you guys regarding the two before purchasing.

There’s a roughly $60 difference between the two. Why?

i have the hotbodies and think they are great..no fitment issues or anything...they may not be as bright as the protons...but i think they are just as good...just my .02

i also have the hotbodies and like them alot. fitment is good. the only problems i've heard people have with them is that they aren't visible from the front... in my opinion, who cares. i like them, good price, good fitment, look good

i got the protons because they come set up for running lights and they are EXTREMLY bright....also the flash pattern is cool.

doesnt matter if you have $5 or $50 flush mounts....if a cop wants to, he can bust your ***** about it......i know alllll about it

The hotbodies are ok, you do lose the running lights and the nuts that hold them on tend to back out.

i haven't had any problem with the nuts backing out on me....and as for the running light thing, it is very simple to add a couple of diodes to each light and have them as running lights...i have them as running lights with no issues for over a year now....
