Default F4i dash went out?

I have a 2001 f4i. I was riding it the other day and everything was fine. Then my buddy rode it around a parking lot n when he got back the dash was out. No Speedo no tach only thing was the time was still on the screen. At the same time the rear lightwent out no break light or running light. Thinking maybe a fuse? But if that's the case wouldn't the dash unit lose power and the time would be gone right? Just wondering if anyone has any ideas. Any help is much appreciated

Yes, they do. Check the connectors and harness for a burned or grounded spot that would blow the fuse.
