Default F4i compatible bike lift

Does anyone know if there are any motorcycle lifts that are compatible with f4i's? Is there any one you can recommend?

I'm thinking, rather than spend a few hundred on a rear stand and a front stand with triple adapter I might as well get a lift. That way i can work on the forks and whatever it may be that I need to work on.

I suppose the problem is that there are no rails under the bike to lift from. I'm a little wary of lifting the bike from its oil pan.

So any advise or recommendations would be appreceiated.

edit* For clarification... By "lift" i mean like a floor jack that you would use on a car or something, but specifically for raising bikes.

I used one at my friends house but it was way too trickey with the f4i. It was for his sovelhead. The bike wanted to fall off and tip over and such. I just bought a rear stand with front fork adapters. I use a milk crate on the back when raising the front.

This just arrived via a cursing UPS delivery man today:

The adapter plate that came with it is what caught my eye. It also has 2 extensible stabilizer arms, tie down points and came with 2 ratcheting tie down straps. I'd already have the jack under the bike and giving it a go except its pouring rain off and on here today.

When I get it under my bike, I'll let you know how I feel about it. I'm planning to raise the front & rear, change the oil and replace the swingarm. So traditional stands won't work. There was one stand I found while researching jacks online that made me drool a little: the Abba Superbike Stand. The problem is with no US distributor, the price + shipping was too much

just buy a good set of stands. When changinf swingarms out I used rachet straps, rafters, and the pass pegs. Worked like a charm.

dude ebays got sets of front/rear stands for leik $140 -look identical to the lockhart phillips stands jus without the pricetag and the front is fork/neck, rear is spool or flat swingarm type. i bought a set like 2 yrs ago and they actually work great, no bending or tweaking..... compared to vortex, pitbull, or equivalent bigname brand stands i say its well worth it.
