f4i clutch

Providing you put the plates in the correct order and didn't leave anything out of the clutch such as thrust washers etc, then it may just need the cable adjusting. I guess you have done this though? If not then wind the handlebar adjuster fully in so there is no slack on the clutch lever end then do all the adjusting at the clutch itself. Undo the lock nut nearer to the rear of the bike and turn the front one until you have the correct slack at the clutch lever end on the handlebar. I can't think of anything else it could be especially as you say you followed the video and the manual step by step. If the cable adjustment doesn't solve the problem I'd take the clutch down again and double check all is ok in there. May be worth taking the plates and everything else that's in there out and starting again. Normally if the cable is too slack the clutch won't disengage or if too tight it won't bite properly and will slip. I assume you started building the clutch with a friction plate first followed by a plain plate and finally a friction plate? It's got me baffled! Let us know how you get on and if you find the answer?
