Default F3 issues, not starting and pouring gas.... info inside! !!!!HELP MEE!!!!

Okay so heres the deal. The F3 died about 2 months ago and we narrowed it down to the carbs. Finally saved some loot and had them rebuilt. Well yesterday we put them back on and get everything together and she started for maybe 3 seconds and cut off. Tried again and nothing. Tried again and while the engine was turning over gas starts pouring out of one of the drains. I have new spark plugs, new fuel filter and a fresh set of carbs. Im at a loss now as this is my first venture into working on the bike. Any input?

Discuss....

I did a little research but came up empty.

forgot to mention if you give it gas it will run but still drains gas for some reason.

The only things I could come up with are: One (or more) of the floater tangs is stuck or bent (Letting excess fuel into the bowl) They are very easy to bend out of whack on reassembly & sometimes they just get stuck when all the fuel is drained from the carbie. And the bowl drain valve should not be open anyway? Is the screw been left open? Which wouldn't help the idle.

i agree, float is probably stuck allowing gas to continualy feed the carbs and over fill.

Going with the float drain being open. Forgot about closing them the first time I cleaned my carbs.
