Default Exhaust System (WHAT TO BUY)

I just bought an '01 CBR 600 F4i and the muffler on it is whack job buy some moron and is not street legal. Its loud as hell which I love and its nice and short which looks badass but I don't want to be getting pulled over! So what muffler would you guys recommend?
Keep in mind I really want to go for 2 key points.
1. As short as possible
2. LOUD!!!!

well as per alll the other exhaust threads ive commented in i found the two bros to be perfect. Youll find mixed opinions about em but i love the sound and looks. Got this off an 08 gixxer for like $100 and had it fit to my f4i. Nice and short, loud, but sounds awesome, and looks just as good.

i also think that city bike racing's scorpion exhaust he put on his looks pretty sick, i cant attest to the sound though, he or someone else will have to comment on that. I also think its fitted off a gixxer too.

well mine sounded like this...ignore my friends excitedness at the end....

(just click them)

As far as buying them i just looked on craigslist and found a guy kind of close to me selling it for cheap so i met up with him and got it. When i got my 600rr it had the stainless steel two bros on it so i found a guy selling a dual exhaust carbon fiber two bros setup off his gsxr750 for cheap so i had him ship it to me and I just used one of those. You can buy em new off twobros.com, revzilla, cyclegear, ebay, etc. But both the ones i got were in near perfect condition and a fraction of the price so check craigslist too if you dont mind going used.

yeah i was gonna say just cut down or modify your own cuz its free and easy but im assuming the previous owner messed it up already. ive got an emptied and shortened jardine rt-1 that you can have if you want it too. Its pretty loud but it was too hollow sounding for my taste, 2 bros is nice and deep and gives the bike a nice growl. My buddy has an r1 with a full micron on it and he liked the sound of my f4i with the 2 bros slip on way better.

I would love to do this but I am absolutely ignorant to how to build my own muffler. I am pretty sure that the can is actually empty! So i know there are suppose to be some sort of compartments inside and the can is about a foot long. I don't know if I have any space to work in there or what to do. Any tips?
