Default Exhaust Swap Question

Does anyone know if a Jardine RT-1 Oval exhaust for a 1000RR will work on a 600RR? If so, will it affect anything (I.E A/F). I am just asking this because sometimes I see the exhaust listed as both, but I am not sure if it really is the same.

Just so you know, this isn't a frequented forum, so 2 hours for a reply is a little premature.

anyway.

Will it work? No idea, probably not, at least without modification.
Will it mess with the A/F Ratio? A little...

Okay, sorry. I am on this forum, and 600rr.net , and to be totally honest, Ilike this forum WWAAYY better!!!

Anyways, I didnt know what would be different. I guess the midpipe only? The canisters specs are the same. What do you think would be different?

the way the midpipe is shaped is the probable difference. I've seen the 1000rr stock exhaust on a 600rr, but i have NO IDEA what it took to get it to work... probably a lot of finagling.

but i'm looking on Jardine's website, and i'm not seeing an OVAL design... just the twin outlet and their regular style RT-1. can you link to what you're looking at?

Well, I guess I mis-spoke. I guess you ould say the original or round or w/e shape you want to call it, haha. I was just trying to make the point it wasnt the dual outlet one. Sorry about that. It looks like this:

It's propbably just a different bend in the Mid-pipe that's different. If the Midpipe comes off the can, see if you can retrofit a stock 600 Mid to it somehow. might work!

Right. I just dont have the tools to do that (as in welding). I emailed Jardine directly, but havent gotten an answer. The reason I am asking is because I found this for $100, and if it fits, its a pretty good deal, but I dont want to waste $100 if it doesnt. Know what I mean>

If I remember correctly the Mid pipes are different, but the cans are the same.

Do you know how different they are, or if it is possible to take thepip to a muffler show to have it rebent?
