Default Engine heat (not overheating)

I have an 08 CBR 1000rr and after about 60,000 miles I rode in a dust storm that dusted my engine. After replacing the engine there is so much heat produced from the right side that I burned the inside of my right calf, right through riding gear. I was told that the exhaust was plugged so I bought a new one, OEM. Even after replacing the exhaust the issue persists. The bike runs and sounds great otherwise. Ideas?

Thanks,

I am not sure if its the same, but on my 17 600rr, the cat is just beside the right foot. It was just stupidly hot. I literally had to ride with my foot off the peg to cool it off now and again. I deleted the cat with a stainless pipe. problem solved.

If the cat is not there, I would look at all the heat shielding that might be supposed to be there? I know my bike, and other bikes Ive had will have at least one, if not two heat shields in those areas. Maybe on the engine swap, one got missed?
