Default RE: EMERGENCY BRAKE BLEEDING PROB

Thanks Kewl and TK. I've got brake fluid and bubbles running through my hoses!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA Ok so I'm retarded. First I undid the bleeder screw (following a websites instructions) and then I opened the MC. Well when I opened the MC there are 3 pieces to the top. The plastic outside piece that's black, then a clear plastic piece under that then a rubber piece that fits INTO the clear plastic piece. Well my rubber piece got sucked down and so it looked like an inverted pyramid. Brake fluid spilled over the edges INTO it so I thought that the brake fluid was supposed to go in there so I just filled that up. TK was probably laughing at me filling up that rubber thing wondering why it just sits in there I know I would have been but he told me to take it out and sure enough I dumped the brake fluid I filled up in there into my bucket and there was no hole in the rubber thing! hahahahahahahaahahahahahah Wow I'm stupid but relieved!!!!!

I'm now following their instructions to get brake fluid in my lines once again and have already filled up the MC once for just ONE side ... they were completely bone dry hahahahahahah

Mike

Thanks again guys!!!

Ok well, 400+mL of brake fluid and 4 and a half hours later I THINK my front brakes are done! rofl!!! Now it's on to the rear and I think I have to take the MC for the rear brake off because the cap won't come off with the frame in the way.... who designs these things?!

Cool. Make sure you get some brakecleen and clean up well, spray down your calipers, pads and anywhere else you got fluid. You may have also gotten some on the wheels/tires so make sure you take it easy for a bit.

5 hours, maybe 500mL of brake fluid, a few PM's, several posts, a phone call, a sale on my bike, and a lot of frustration later and my bike SEEMS to be filled with new brake fluid on the front and back. LOL What did we learn today boys and girls?

Just because you HAVE a motorcycle does NOT give you the right to work on one. hahaha

Thanks for puttin up with me guys and helpin out! =) Much appreciation and Kewl you Have to come to the Dells for our MWM for a beer (if you drink) and a tank of gas too. heh

Thanks again

Mike

/sigh of relief
