E-Tint?
Has anybody ever heard of or uses this? I wanted to get the transition visor but the only company that makes it is Bell and it won't fit my Shoei RF1100.
that is the youtube link for the E-Tint. Just curious as to how this stuff works. Sick of getting stuck with my super tinted visor in the middle of the night... Thanks
it seems new but its not, maybe it new for these guys but the lcd technology has been around for a long time, even on some 'stealth' plate covers where the screen would turn dark to block the plates, 'nuf said' on this.
as for the helmet, i would put my money on either a light to med smoke or if you have a way of caring a spare one, a full dark and a clear option.
this is a good idea but what they are not telling you is the huge gap it leaves around the visor, i dont know about you, but when i am on the bike i tend to look through the top 1/3 of the visor not the middle. and thats where there is a line right across your field of view.
ALSO
its not UV coated, its just dark, so with that, it actually tricks your eyes to think its in a darker place, making your eyes and pupils open wider and dilate more letting more UV.
also, if you stick it on and you dont want it any more for what ever reason, there is no easy way of getting it off.
bottom line, if you want, spend that money on a set of good sun glasses that you can wear with your helmet or a decent visor that is UV coated.
