Does your tire do this...?
I went out riding earlier on the highway for about 60 miles. I was going an average of 80mph, every now and then I took it up to 110-115. I get off the bike and my rear tire looks like this. Looks like the tire's wearing down too fast, similar to a pencil eraser's shavings when you rub for too long. Never noticed it before on previous rides though. Just thought I'd get a second opinion. So, tell me if I'm trippin or not.
I have a pilot power too that does the same thing....my boys bridgestone does it, and a also another bike with a metzler...Dont stress it, its normal(EDIT: i think!) just get some of that on the edges too[8D]
Well i got something somewhat similar. What if the rear tire is cupping? I checked the adjusters on each side and there both at the same point. The tire was low (around 20psi hot) for a couple days quite possibly so i'm wondering if this is caused by that or if theres something else thats wrong. I plan on getting 2 new tires for next season and dont need a 160$ to start cupping and be uselles.
Thanks guys
Thanks guys

My car tires are like that after a couple of track sessions...high speed or high temps just seem to do that. And get those tire pressures up to at least 30...otherwise you're lookin for trouble.
The bike is dropped an inch in the rear too could this cause tires to cup? And it seems like its set all to factory, i bought the bike used, and didn't notice the tires like this until recently
Hmm. The only place I've seen tires do that is on the edges when at a track day. I've never seen tires shred like that in the middle. I've never had any of my tires do that, but I've only run Qualifier's on my bike, so maybe other tires are more prone to it.
