Default Does anyone know what this is?

I bought a 2000 600 f4 a couple weeks ago and I shined my flashlight inside the gas tank tonight and saw this white thing in there. The tank looks really clean inside but I don't know what this white thing is. I was going to remove it but then I thought it could be some sort of fuel stabilizer, moisture remover, or just a foreign object that shouldn't be there. if anybody knows please chime in

There shouldn't be anything but gas in there ,,looks like someone shoved a glove or material in there .

It's got lines on it like it was used to measure something. Post pics of what it is so we can see!

So......I pulled this thing out and still have no idea what the hell it is. It's 10" in length and almost feels like clay but I think it's rubber that softened up from being submerged in fuel for so long. Either way, I took it out.
