Default Display Blinking Out

Have a 01 F4i, 22,000 miles. My display works at times and at times don't. i can't tell my speed or how many miles I am going. What scares me is, sometimes my FI light is on when it decides to work. Not sure if this is a major issue or not. Let me know.

Also, question? Bike was dyno'd with power commander for most of my power in 1st gear. I need backend speed not out the gate speed. Should I dyno again? I went from 93 horses to 98. I've seen riders get a serious difference with a commander. I do not have a big difference.

Default RE: Display Blinking Out

Sounds like the panel is missing power. Grab a multimeter and trace the instrument panelconnections from the fuse block all the way to the instrument panel. Something isn't connected, or has chaffed and is grounding out on the frame(wire chaffing, loose connection, corrosion, half-assed fuse etc.). Make sure the connectors on the backside of the panel are all snug and plugged in fully. It could be something as minute as a little piece of copper wire strand stuck across two prongs in the connector.

Try to reproduce the actions you took that make the light come on if you can. See what might be causing the intermittance.

I dunno about the dyno tuning stuff. Sounds right to me, want to change your tuning, probably best to go have it dynod how you like it.
