Default Different size sproket and chain sizes

If i were to go up say +5 in the rear sprocket... How many links would that add to the chain? or is there any way to figure out how many links I would need for different size sprockets?
thanks

You dont buy chains for how many links their are. Just buy a whole kit and dont worry.

Nauree...some kits don't come with chains cut to fit....especially if you are getting an odd tooth setup like +5 (not that odd for stunters i guess)...

@chp - i think standard linkage is 108....with a +5 i would guess you'll be running more than 110...i think chains typically come in 110, 120, etc....so i would bet you would just have to buy a 120 link chain, put on the sprocket and measure out the length and cut to size....IF you buy from certain distributors, you can ask them if they can cut it to size for you, but i only know of a few places that will cut a chain for you according to your sprocket....especially since you're not asking for the boilerplate -1,+2 that everyone does....

i got a -1 in the front but wanted a red chain, which they only sell in 120 links....i have to cut it down myself....not too bad, just have to buy a chain breaker....another $20-60 depending on how good a one you get...
