Dented tank - any hope?
So on Thursday I parked on the street, rear wheel to the curb. What I think happened is an SUV in front of me backed into me, and hit my tank with his spare tire mount. Anyway, I now have a tennis ball-sized dent on the right side of the tank. I'm surprised he was able to hit the bike hard enough to dent it without knocking it over, but there's no indication, like broken mirrors, that the bike hit the ground.
I'll post a picture in the next day or two. Anyway I was wondering if this is at all fixable, or am I looking at either buying a new tank, or seeing if I can cover it with a tank bra? I bought the bike used, with rash on the fairings, so it wasn't pristine to begin with. But this really pisses me off because the guy didn't leave a note or anything, and I didn't even get the satisfaction of smacking the bike up myself.
Thanks for any suggestions.

If it's around a curve of the tank, you might be out of luck. It could be pulled, but it certainly wouldn't look right after. Your best bets are to not worry about it (even though it sure would **** you off whenever you see it - I'd be pissed too) or you might be able to find a used tank in good shape that's already the same colors as yours. The costs of getting it pulled vs used tank would probably be about the same.
i had a similar problem on my kaw ex500. went to checker auto parts, bought that ding king thing(the one you see on tv) and pulled it myself. worked great. cant even tell there was a dent anymore. try that, its only like 20$.
